Orchestra 2 is designed for 6th and 7th-grade students looking to expand their skills and deepen their understanding of jazz. Building on foundational concepts, this program focuses on advancing technical proficiency, ensemble performance, and musical creativity. Through weekly rehearsals and personalized private lessons, students refine their technique, develop greater confidence, and discover new dimensions of their musical abilities.

With expert instructors guiding their progress, students in Orchestra 2 explore more complex jazz arrangements and hone their improvisational skills. Instruments are provided for those who need them, ensuring every participant has access to the tools required for success. This supportive and collaborative environment encourages students to take on greater challenges while fostering their passion for music.

Orchestra 2 also emphasizes accessibility and inclusion by removing logistical barriers. Transportation, meals, and all program materials are fully covered by the Jazz Academy’s scholarship program. Students have the opportunity to perform at community events and concerts, giving them the chance to showcase their growth and talent on stage while inspiring a love for jazz in their community.
